Aboriginal Land Rights Amendment
(Regions) Order 2014
under the
Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1983
DAVID HURLEY, Governor I, General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC, Governor of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 93 of the Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1983, make the following Order.

Explanatory note
The object of this Order is to amend Schedule 5 to the Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1983 (which specifies the Regions for Local Aboriginal Land Councils (LALCs)):
| (a) | to remove Quambone LALC which was dissolved on 29 January 2010, |
| (b) | to remove Koompahtoo LALC which was dissolved on 12 March 2010, |
| (c) | to insert Biraban LALC which was constituted on 18 May 2012. |
This Order is made under section 93 of the Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1983.

1 Name of Order
This Order is the Aboriginal Land Rights Amendment (Regions) Order 2014.
2 Commencement
This Order commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.
3 Amendment of Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1983
(1) Schedule 5 Regions Omit “Quambone,” from the matter relating to Central Region.
(2) Schedule 5 Insert “Biraban,” in alphabetical order in the matter relating to Sydney and
Newcastle Region.(3) Schedule 5 Omit “Koompahtoo,” from the matter relating to Sydney and Newcastle Region.
