I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (1) of the Aboriginal Land Rights (Amendment) Act 1990 do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 28 June 1991 as the day on which Schedule 6 (5) (but only insofar as it inserts section 33 in the Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1983) and Schedule 7 (4) to that Act commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Proclamation is to commence those provisions of the Aboriginal Land Rights (Amendment) Act 1990 that insert sections 33 and 61 (as amended) in the Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1983.
Sections 33 and 61 (as amended) provide for the commencement of the financial year of an Aboriginal Land Council on 1 October (instead of 1 July) and the forwarding of annual reports by Regional and Local Aboriginal Land Councils to the New South Wales Aboriginal Land Council for each year ended 30 September.
