ABORIGINAL LAND RIGHTS ACT 1983 - REGULATION
(Relating to the New South Wales Aboriginal Land Council)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1983, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Aboriginal Land Rights Regulation 1983 is amended by
omitting clauses 21B and 22A
EXPLANATORY NOTE
The Aboriginal Land Rights (Amendment) Act 1990 provides that the current members and officers of the New South Wales Aboriginal Land Council are to continue in office until new elections for the Council are held (proposed clause 14 of Schedule 4 to the Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1953).
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Aboriginal Land Rights Regulation 1983 to omit provisions enabling the removal of the current members and officers from office.
