Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander

Heritage (Interim Protection) Regulations2

(Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Heritage Protection Act 1984.

Principal Regulations

1. In these Regulations, “Principal Regulations” means the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Heritage (Interim Protection) Regulations.

Citation

2. Regulation 1 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting “(Interim Protection)” and substituting “Protection”.

Interpretation

3. Regulation 2 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting “(Interim Protection)” and substituting “Protection”.

Schedule

4. The Schedule to the Principal Regulations is repealed and the following Schedule substituted:

SCHEDULE Sub-regulation 3 (1)

IDENTITY CARD NO.

I, (name of Minister or delegate of Minister), Minister of State for Aboriginal Affairs (or the delegate of the Minister of State for Aboriginal Affairs), hereby certify that (name and description of authorized officer), whose photograph appears on this card, is an authorized officer under the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Heritage Protection Act 1984.
