This Act may be cited as " The Abattoirs Agree- Short title ment Ratification and MeatIndustryAct Amendment ::::struetion Act of 1931," and shall be read as one with *"The of Act. Abattoirs Agreement Ratification and .Meat Industry Act of 1930," herein referred to as the Principal Act. Amendment of the Principal Act. 2. Section thirteen of the Principal Act is amended Amendment by the insertion of a new subsection after subsection of s. 13. one, as follows :- " (lA.) For the purpose of exercising any powers or Power to discharging any functions or duties conferred or imposed borrow by this Act or any other Act upon the Board, the Board money. may and is hereby authorised from time to ti':!le to borrow money or obtain advances from or make financial .arrangements with any bank or other financial institution upon such terms and conditions and at such rate of interest as the Board shall deem fit, and for any such purpose to create and execute debentures, mortgages, bills of sale, charges, liens, and other securities or obligations over the property of the Board or any part or parts thereof as the Board shall deem fit; but any debentures, mortgages, bills of sale, charges, liens, and other securities or obligations so created and executed ... 21 Geo. Verbal amend· ments. 4. The following verbal amendments are made in the Principal Act, namely:- In subsection two of section twenty-two the words " of meat" are repealed and the words" or meat" are inserted in lieu thereof. In paragraph (c) of the proviso to section twenty- eight the word" twenty-six" is repealed and the word "twenty-seven" is inserted in lieu thereof.
