AN ACT to amend the Abattoirs Act, 1909-1978.
[Assented to 27th October, 1978.]
BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent
of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
Short title
| 1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Abattoirs | and |

Section 6
| amended. | 2. Section 6 of the principal Act is amended |
| (a) | by inserting, after the section designation "6.", the subsection designation "(1)"; |
| (b) | in line one of paragraph (p) by inserting, before the words "the imposition", the passage "subject to the provisions of sub- section (2) of this section,"; and |
(c) by adding the following subsection
(2) The Commission may, notwith- standing the provisions of any regulations made under subsection (1) of this section in relation to the imposition and collection of fees, charges, rents or tolls for the use of abattoirs, saleyards or other facilities maintained by the Commission, grant, in such circumstances and on such terms and conditions as the Commission thinks fit, discounts and rebates on those fees, charges, rents or tolls. .
