AN ACT to amend the Abattoirs Act, 1909-1975.

[Assented to 21st September, 1978.]

RE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Abattoirs Short title and

Act Amendment Act, 1978. citation.

(2) In this Act the Abattoirs Act, 1909-1975 is Reprinted as approved f or

referred to as the principal Act. reprint 6 th

September,

1976.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act

may be cited as the Abattoirs Act, 1909-1978.

Section 12

amended. 2. Section 12 of the principal Act is amended

(a)	by deleting the word "six" in line one of subsection (2) and substituting the word "eight";
(b)	by deleting the word "two", being the first word in paragraph (d) of subsection (2), and substituting the word "four";
(c)	by adding immediately before the words "four years" in line four of subsection (4) the words "not more than"; and
(d)	by deleting the word "Four" in line one of paragraph (a) of subsection (11) and substituting the word "Five".
