I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (2) of the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act (No 2) 1997, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 6 February 1998 as the day on which Schedule 1.24 to that Act commences.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence amendments to the State Emergency

and Rescue Management Act 1989 in relation to the offices of District Emergency

Operations Controller and Local Emergency Operations Controller.
