PROCLAMATION

NEW SOUTH WALES

I, the Honourable GORDON SAMUELS, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (1) of the Irrigation Corporations Act 1994 do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 July 1996 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of Schedule 3 to that Act commence, other than such of those provisions as amend the Noxious Weeds Act 1993.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the uncommenced provisions of Schedule 3 to the Irrigation Corporations Act 1994, other than such of those provisions as amend the Noxious Weeds Act 1993. Schedule 3 to the Irrigation Corporations Act 1994 amends other Acts as a result of the declaration of the Hay Irrigation Area as a private district under the Private Irrigation Districts Act 1973 and as a result of certain irrigation areas having been dissolved and the land within them having become special land districts under the Crown Lands Act 1989.
