LIQUOR ACT 1982—REGULATION

(Relating to places where the Licensing Court sits)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Liquor Act 1982, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Liquor Regulation 1983 is amended:

(a)

by inserting in Schedule 1 after the word “Armidale” the word “Ballina” ;

(b)

by inserting in Schedule 1 after the word “Tumut” the words “Tweed Heads”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The Liquor Act 1982 provides that the regulations may prescribe places where the Licensing Court of New South Wales may sit and where its registries may be set up. A list of such places appears as Schedule l to the Liquor Regulation 1983. This regulation adds Ballina and Tweed Heads to that list.

The Regulation is made under sections 5 (Prescribed places) and 156 (Regulations)

of the Liquor Act 1982.
