I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (1) of the Statute Law Revision (Local Government) Act 1995, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 23 June 1995 as the day on which that Act (other than the amendments to the Local Government Act 19 19 in Schedule 1 and section 3 in its application to those amendments) commences.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Proclamation is to appoint 23 June 1995 as the commencement date of all of the provisions of the Statute Law Revision (Local Government) Act 1995, except the amendments to the Local Government Act 1919 in Schedule 1 and section 3 in its application to those amendments.
Section 2 (2) of the Act provides that those amendments, and section 3 in its application to them, are taken to have commenced on 1 January 1995.
