(Relating to notification of claims for compensation in respect of termination of
contracts of carriage)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Industrial Relations Act 199 1, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement
1. This Regulation commences on 1 August 1994.
Amendment
2. The Industrial Relations Regulation 1992 is amended by inserting at the end of clause 117 the following matter:
Notification of claim for compensation in respect of termination
of contract of carriage (section 697D (1) of Act)
EXPLANATORY NOTE
Section 697D of the Industrial Relations Act 1991 provides that when a head contract of carriage is terminated, the carrier may notify the Industrial Registrar of any claim for compensation in respect of the termination. The object of this Regulation is to provide that such a notification is to be in the form approved by, and is to be lodged with, the Industrial Registrar.
This Regulation is made under the Industrial Relations Act 1991, in particular section 749 (2) (a).
