I. Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Liquor (Amendment) Act 1994, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 July 1994 as the day on which that Act commences (except sections 4 and 6 (a) of that Act and items (7)–(35) and (59)–(61) of Schedule 1 to that Act and section 3 of that Act in its application to those item in Schedule 1).

EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Proclamation is to commence the Liquor (Amendment) Act 1994,
except for the following provisions of that Act:
• amendments to the Liquor Act 1982 relating to caterers’ licences, grant of
licences to bodies corporate and penalty notices
• an amendment to the Justices Act 1902 bringing penalty notices issued under
the Liquor Act 1982 within the enforcement scheme of the Justices Act 1902
• an amendment to the Liquor Regulation 1983.
