HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Government and Related Employees Appeal Tribunal Act 1980, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Citation
1. This Regulation may be cited as the Government and Related Employees Appeal Tribunal Regulation 1994.
Commencement
2. This Regulation commences on 1 July 1994.
Definition
3. (1) In this Regulation:
“the Act” means the Government and Related Employees Appeal
Tribunal Act 1980.
(2) In this Regulation, a reference to a Form is a reference to a Form set out in Schedule 1.
Publication of notices: sec. 19
4. For the purposes of section 19 (1) of the Act, the prescribed form of notice of a decision to appoint or recommend the appointment of a person to a vacant office is:

(a)
Form 1, if the employer is a Department Head within the meaning of the Public Sector Management Act 1988; or
(b) Form 2, in any other case.
Appointment of agents: sec. 30
5. For the purposes of section 30 (1) of the Act, the prescribed form of notice of appointment of an agent for the purpose of accepting service of notices and completing and lodging notices of appeal is Form 3.

6. For the purposes of clause 8 (1) of Schedule 2 to the Act, the prescribed form of oath is as set out in Form 4.
Repeal
7. The Government and Related Employees Appeal Tribunal Regulation 1980 is repealed.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Regulation is to repeal and remake, without any changes in substance, the provisions of the Government and Related Employees Appeal Tribunal Regulation 1980. The new Regulation, which is of a machinery nature, merely prescribes certain forms for use in connection with the administration of the Government and Related Employees Appeal Tribunal Act 1980.
This Regulation is made under the Government and Related Employees Appeal Tribunal Act 1980, including section 60 (the general regulation making power), sections 19 and 30 and clause 8 of Schedule 2.
This Regulation is made in connection with the staged repeal of subordinate legislation under the Subordinate Legislation Act 1989.
