NEW SOUTH WALES

I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Legal Profession Reform Act 1993, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 17 December 1993 as the day on which Schedule 5 to that Act, and section 4 of that Act in its application to that Schedule, commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Proclamation is to commence Schedule 5 to the Legal Profession Reform Act 1993. That Schedule amends various Acts to remove references to Queen’s Counsel and to alter the provisions relating to appointments to certain judicial and other offices to require the same level of qualifications for both solicitors and barristers.
