STOCK DISEASES ACT 1923—REGULATION
(Repealing the Stock Diseases (Special Quarantine Areas) Regulation 1988)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Stock Diseases Act 1923, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement
1. This Regulation commences on 16th July, 1993.
Repeal
2. The Stock Diseases (Special Quarantine Areas) Regulation 1988 is
repealed.
EXPLANATORY NOTE
The Exotic Diseases of Animals Act 1991, which commences on 16 July 1993, introduces a new scheme for the detection, containment and eradication of certain diseases affecting livestock and other animals. The Act repeals the provisions of the Stock Diseases Act 1923 relating to special quarantine areas. The object of this Regulation is to repeal a regulation made pursuant to the repealed provisions.
