LIQUOR ACT 1982—REGULATION

(Relating to payment of liquor licence fees for the licensing period

commencing on 16 January 1993)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Liquor Act 1982, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Liquor Regulation 1983 is amended by inserting after clause 36

the following clause:

Special arrangements for payment of second instalment for period commencing 16 January 1993

36AA. (1) A licensee who, on or before 1 May 1993, pays not less than half of the second instalment of the licence fee due in respect of the licensing period commencing on 16 January 1993 may defer payment of the remainder of that second instalment to any date not later than 1 June 1993.

(2) Clause 37 applies to the deferred portion of an instalment paid in accordance with this clause as though that portion were an instalment whose due date for payment was 1 June 1993.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Liquor Regulation 1983 to make special provision for the payment of the liquor licence fee instalment due on 15 May 1993. Instead of paying the whole of the instalment on or before that date, a licensee may elect to pay half (or more) of it by 1 May 1993 and defer payment of the balance until 1 June 1993.
