IRRIGATION ACT 1912—REGULATION

(Relating to the Coleambally and Tullakool irrigation areas)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Irrigation Act 19 12, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 1 July 1992.

Amendment of Irrigation Areas (Water Supply) Regulation 1991

2. The Irrigation Areas (Water Supply) Regulation 1991 is amended by omitting from clause 3 the words “other than the Coleambally irrigation area and the Tullakool irrigation area”.

Repeals

3. • Coleambally (Supply of Water for Irrigation) Regulations

The following regulations are repealed: • Tullakool (Supply of Water) Regulations

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The objects of this Regulation are:

(a) to extend the operation of the lrrigation Areas (Water Supply) Regulation 1991 to the Coleambally and Tullakool irrigation areas; and

(b) to repeal certain regulations that currently apply to those irrigation areas.

This Regulation is made in connection with the staged repeal of subordinate

legislation under the Subordinate Legislation Act 1989.
