BARRISTERS AND SOLICITORS ADMISSION RULES 1989

1.      This Amendment is made by the Barristers Admission Board and the Solicitors Admission Board on 9 August, 1990.

2.      The Third Schedule to the Barristers and Solicitors Admission Rules 1989 is amended:

(a)

by omitting "As at 1 January, 1990" and inserting "As at 2 September, 1990";

(b)

by omitting ''$20'' appearing opposite "For admission as a Student-at-Law" and inserting instead "$80".

(c)

by omitting "$50" appearing opposite "For admission as a Barrister or Solicitor" and inserting instead "$200".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Legal Profession Regulation 1987 to provide for the fees payable to the Barristers Admission Board and the Solicitors Admission Board for admission as a student-at-law, barrister or solicitor.
