GREYHOUND RACING CONTROL BOARD ACT 1985 - RULE

(Increasing the maximum amount of fines which may be

imposed for breaches of the Rules)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Greyhound Racing Control Board Act 1985, has been pleased to approve the Rule made by the Greyhound Racing Control Board and set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Rule takes effect on 31st August, 1990.

Amendment

2. The Rules of the Greyhound Racing Control Board 1983 are

amended:

(a)

by omitting from Rule 10 (3) (a) the matter "$500" and by inserting instead the matter"$2,000";

(b)

by omitting from Rule 10 (14) (a) the matter "$500" and by inserting instead the matter "$2,000";

(c)

by omitting from Rule 17 (3) (a) the matter "$500" and by inserting instead the matter "$2,000";

(d)

by omitting from Rule 97 (3) the matter "$500" and by inserting instead the matter "$2,000".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Rule is to amend the Rules of the Greyhound Racing Control Board 1983 so as to increase the maximum amount of the fine which the Board or a Board steward may impose on a person or club, or on the registered holder, manager or assistant manager of a greyhound trial track, found guilty of having committed a breach of the Rules.
