LIQUOR ACT 1982 - REGULATION

(Relating to licensing inspectors and requirements for

certain licensed premises) NEW SOUTH WALES

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Liquor Act 1982, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 1 August 1990.

Amendments

2. The Liquor Regulation 1983 is amended:

(a) by omitting clause 7 (3);
(b) by omitting clause 7 (5) (a) (ii) and by inserting instead the

following subparagraph:

(ii) to the Commissioner of Police,
(c) by omitting clause 24;
(d) by omitting from clause 41B (1) (b) the words “licensing inspector” and by inserting instead the words “Commissioner of Police”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Liquor Regulation 3983:

(a) to replace references to licensing inspectors with references to the Commissioner of Police and to remove provisions relating to licensing inspectors, as a consequence of the enactment of the Liquor (Amendment) Act 1990 which confers functions on the Commissioner of Police rather than licensing inspectors; and
(b) to remove a provision made redundant by the repeal of Ordinance No. 69 under the Local Government Act 1919.
