STEWARDS’ FOUNDATION OF CHRISTIAN BRETHREN

ACT 1989 No. 172 - PROCLAMATION*

NEW SOUTH WALES

[Published in Gazette No. 57 of 4 May 1990]
(L.S.) D. J. MARTIN, Governor.

I, Rear Admiral Sir DAVID JAMES MARTIN, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Stewards’ Foundation of Christian Brethren Act 1989, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 30 April 1990 as the day on which that Act commences.

Signed and sealed at Sydney, this 23rd day of April, 1990.

By His Excellency’s Command,

JOHN DOWD

Attorney General.

GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!

* The proclamation appointed 30.4.1990 as the date of commencement. Pursuant to s. 23 (5) of the Interpretation Act 1987, the proclamation does not fail merely because it was not published in the Gazette until after the day appointed in the proclamation, but s. 23 (5) provides, in that event, for the Act to commence on the day on which the proclamation was published in the Gazette.
