REGULATIONS UNDER THE WAR PRECAUTIONS ACT 1914-1916.
War Precautions Regulations 1915—Regulation 12c—Addition.
I, SIR JOHN MADDEN, acting as the Deputy of the Governor-General in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following regulation under the War Precautions Act 1914-1916, to come into operation forthwith.

War Precautions Regulations 1915.
Addition.
The following now regulation is inserted after Regulation 12b:—
Proof of certain matters.
“12c. (1) In any prosecution for an offence against Regulation 12, 12a, or 12b—
(a) a certificate signed by a licensing or police officer of the licensing district in which the premises, in respect of which the offence is alleged to have been committed, are situate, stating—
(i) that the defendant is the licensee or occupier of the promises or the person having control of the sale of liquor therein;
(ii) that the premises are licensed for the sale of intoxicating liquor or that intoxicating liquor is sold therein; or
(iii) that the promises are within the area specified in any order made in pursuance of the said regulations; and
(b) a certificate signed by a competent naval or military authority that any order purporting to have been made under regulation 12, 12a or 12b has been duly made,
shall be prima facie evidence of the facts stated in the certificate.
(2) No proof shall be required of the signature, rank or official position of any person purporting to give a certificate in pursuance of this regulation.
