REGULATIONS UNDER THE WAR PRECAUTIONS ACT. 1914–1916.
War Precautions Regulations 1915—Regulation 59a.
Amendment.
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the War Precautions Act 1914–1916 to come into operation forthwith.

War Precautions Regulations 1915.
Amendment.
War Precautions Regulation 59a, which reads—
Burden of proof of lawful authority or excuse of accused.
59a. Where under these Regulations any act if done without lawful authority or without lawful authority or excuse is an offence against these Regulations, the burden of proving that the act was done with lawful authority or with lawful authority or excuse shall rest on the person accused.
is amended as follows:—
(a) by inserting after the word “excuse” (first occurring) the words “or without permission”.
(b) by inserting after the word “excuse” (second occurring) the words “or with permission.”
