STATUTORY RULES.

1918. No. 24.

 

REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903–1917.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Defence Act 1903–1917 to come into operation forthwith.

Amendment of War Financial Regulations.

Regulation 1 of War Financial Regulations is repealed, and the following new Regulation made in lieu thereof:—

1. Prior to embarkation, members of the Australian Imperial Force, with the exception of Nurses and Masseuses, shall be paid at the following rates of pay:—

Regulation 5 is amended by adding thereto the following words:—

“A Sister in Charge of Sea Transport Staff will receive the temporary rank and pay of a Matron.”

Part II.—“Allowances”—in the first paragraph, the words “and Warrant Officers” are deleted.
