2.      The Greater Western Flank Phase 1 (GWF-1) Pipeline Route Map is replaced with the map at Attachment 1.

SPECIFICATIONS:

3. The Schedule of Specifications is varied by deleting the current text and replacing it with the following:

Design and Construction

The offshore pipeline must be designed and constructed in accordance with Offshore Standard DNV-OS-F101 – Submarine Pipeline Systems (Offshore Pipeline), which is incorporated in its entirety in Australian Standard AS2885.4 – Pipelines, Gas and Liquid Petroleum (Part 4: Submarine Pipelines). Specifically, the design and construction phase of the pipeline must comply with DNV-OS-F101.

The flexible flowlines will be designed and constructed in accordance with the following design standards:

Standard

Title

API 17B

Recommended Practice for Flexible Pipe

API 17J

Specification for Unbonded Flexible Pipe

API 17L1

Specification for Unbonded Flexible Pipe Ancillary Equipment

API 17L2

Recommended Practice for Flexible Pipe Ancillary Equipment

Basis of Design

The pipeline shall be designed on the following parameters: -

  • Have a nominal outside diameter of 16” with a minimum wall thickness of 21.0mm between the following pipeline sections: TPA Manifold Tie-In and GSA Tie-In Skid, GSA Tie-In Skid and GDA Manifold, GDA Manifold and GWA SSIV Upstream Tie-in at the Goodwyn Alpha Platform.
  • design temperatures as set out in the table below:

GDA/TPA Manifolds and GSA Tie-In Skid

-29 deg C

Tie-In Spool Pieces

-20 deg C

Pipeline Transitions: (Min. length of 150m from tie-in spool downstream of TPA, GSA manifold headers and the GDS tie-in skid)

-10 deg C

Remainder of pipeline

-5 deg C

  • Design Pressure: 30.0 MPa (Max Hydro-test pressure 32.11 MPa)
  • Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure (MAOP)
    • 29.7 MPa referenced to -113.7m LAT (Lowest Astronomical Tide) i.e. the TPA manifold elevation.
  • a design life of 25 years
  • a total pipeline length of 14.4km.

The flowlines shall be designed on the following parameters:

Internal diameter

8”

Temperature

Maximum design

115 deg C

Maximum operating

109 deg C

Minimum design temperature

-30 deg C

Pressure

Maximum design

34.6 MPa(a)

Maximum operating

17.8 MPa(a)

Minimum design

0 MPa(a)

Design life

20 years

Flowline lengths

GDA03: 1.6km

GDA04: 1.2km

GDA05: 2.9km

Pipeline Material

The pipeline will be manufactured from 316L Stainless Steel to conforming to ASTM A240 316L with an external layer of carbon steel to DNV 415 CS (minimum yield strength 415 MPa).

The flowlines will be unbonded flexible pipes with the inner carcass made of AISI 316L stainless steel.

External Corrosion Protection

The pipeline and flowlines are to be protected from external corrosion by a combination of anti-corrosion coating and a sacrificial anode cathodic protection system.

Note: text in italics in relation to items 1, 2, and 3 reflects changes to the licence given effect by this variation.
