VARIATION OF PIPELINE LICENCE VIC/PL32
(BREAM A TO SHORE) (8QS5SM)
I, STEVEN ROBERT TAYLOR, the Delegate of the National Offshore Petroleum Titles Administrator, on behalf of the Commonwealth-Victoria Offshore Petroleum Joint Authority hereby vary Pipeline Licence VIC/PL32, granted 13 November 2001 (the Licence), for which:
Esso Australia Resources Pty Ltd
(ACN 091 829 819)
Woodside Energy (Bass Strait) Pty Ltd
(ACN 004 228 004)
are the registered titleholders, as set out below.
The variation takes effect on the day on which this notice of variation is published in the Australian Government Gazette.

- The FIRST SCHEDULE of the Licence is varied by deleting the current text and replacing it with the following:
ROUTE OF PIPELINE
The route of the pipeline is described in the table below, and displayed in the map below (Attachment A), commencing at a subsea cut location near the Bream A Platform to the point of intersection with the 3 nautical mile limit.

- The VIC/PL32 Pipeline Route Map is deleted and replaced with the map at Attachment A.
- The SECOND SCHEDULE of the Licence is varied by deleting the current text and replacing it with the following:
SCHEDULE
SPECIFICATION
(A) Design
The pipeline shall be designed, fabricated, and constructed in accordance with the requirements of the Det Norske Veritas Offshore Standard DNV OS-F101, Submarine Piping Systems 2000.
(B) Basis of Design
The pipeline design shall be based on the following parameters: -
(a) one 350 mm nominal diameter pipeline for the conveyance of liquid and gaseous hydrocarbons
(b) an internal design pressure of 18,960 kPa(g)
(c) a design temperature of 90oC
(d) an outside diameter of 355.6 mm
(e) a wall thickness of 14.3 mm
(f) a pipeline length of approximately 41.5 km
(g) a maximum flow capacity of 8,495 ksm3/d
(C) Materials of Construction
- The pipeline shall be in accordance with the requirements of the Det Norske Veritas Specification – DNV F101 Submarine Piping Systems 2000, for Grade 450-I-SFDU seamless pipeline for sour service
- The pipeline shall be protected by a 0.5mm thick fusion bonded epoxy anti corrosion coating
- The pipeline shall have a 60mm minimum thickness concrete weight coating for stability and protection.
(D) Cathodic Control
- The pipeline shall be protected by a sacrificial anode system designed in accordance with the Det Norske Veritas Recommended Practice for Cathodic Protection Design (DNV RP B401).
