VARIATION OF PIPELINE LICENCE VIC/PL26

(BREAM B TO BREAM A) (PNNQMH)

 

I, NICOLE LYNETTE FILBAY, the Delegate of the National Offshore Petroleum Titles Administrator, on behalf of the Commonwealth-Victoria Offshore Petroleum Joint Authority hereby vary Pipeline Licence VIC/PL26, dated 14 October 1996 (the Licence), for which:

 

Esso Australia Resources Pty Ltd

(ACN 091 829 819)

 

Woodside Energy (Bass Strait) Pty Ltd

(ACN 004 228 004)

 

 

are the registered titleholders, as set out below.

 

The variation takes effect on the day on which this notice of variation is published in the Australian Government Gazette.

The route of the pipeline is described in the table below, and displayed in the map below (Attachment A), commencing at the cut spool location at the Bream B platform and terminating at the cut spool location at the Bream A platform.

SECOND SCHEDULE 

 

SPECIFICATION 

 

  1.         Design 

 

  1.             The pipeline design is based on the following parameters – 

 

  1.           one 250 mm nominal diameter pipeline for the conveyance of gaseous and liquid hydrocarbons and water; 
  2.           flow rate of 7500 sm3/d (0.047 MMbbl/d) of liquid hydrocarbons and water and 1.80 MMm3/d (63.57 MMscf/d) of gaseous hydrocarbons; 
  3.           an internal design pressure of 24,800 kPag; 
  4.           a design temperature of 70⁰C; 
  5.           a pipeline length of 6.3 km; 
  6.            contained inside an unburied carrier pipeline. 

 

  1.          The carrier pipeline design is based on the following parameters – 

 

  1.           one 355.6 mm O.D. with 6.4 mm W.T. pipeline. 

 

  1.         Materials of Construction 

 

  1.                  Steel Pipe 

 

The line pipe shall be in accordance with the requirements of the American Petroleum Institute Specification – API Spec 5L, Nov 1992, 40th Edition for Grade X65 seamless pipe and Esso Australia Limited supplemental pipe specification accompanying the pipeline licence application, and the pipeline shall have the dimensions 273.1 mm O.D. with 14.3 mm W.T.

 

The carrier pipe shall be in accordance with the requirements of the American Petroleum Institute Specification – API Spec 5L, Nov 1992 40th Edition for Grade X52 electric resistance welded pipe and shall have the dimensions 355.6 mm O.D. with 6.4 mm W.T.

 

  1.               Protective Coating

 

The line pipe shall be coated with 1 mm Yellow Jacket and 24 mm of Polyurethane foam in accordance with the Esso Australia Limited Protective Coatings Specifications accompanying the pipeline licence application.

 

  1.             Carrier Pipe

 

The carrier pipe shall be protected by a coating of Fusion Bonded Epoxy 500 Microns thick and weight coated with 25 mm of concrete in accordance with the Esso Australia Limited Coating Specifications accompanying the pipeline licence application.
