VARIATION OF PIPELINE LICENCE VIC/PL1 (2022)

BARRACOUTA A TO SHORE

 

I, GRAEME ALBERT WATERS, the National Offshore Petroleum Titles Administrator, on behalf of the Commonwealth–Victoria Offshore Petroleum Joint Authority hereby vary Pipeline Licence VIC/PL1 (the Licence), for which:

 

Esso Australia Resources Pty Ltd

(ACN 091 829 819)

 

BHP Petroleum (Bass Strait) Pty Ltd

(ACN 004 228 004)

 

 

are the registered titleholders, as set out below.

 

The variation takes effect on the day on which this notice of variation is published in the Commonwealth Government Gazette.

Route of Pipeline

  1. The FIRST SCHEDULE of the Licence is varied by deleting all of the current text below the heading ‘FIRST SCHEDULE’

 

and substituting the following:

 

“I. ROUTE OF STEEL PIPELINE
 

The route of the pipeline is described in the table below, and displayed in the map below, commencing at the Barracouta Last Valve Off, located below the pig launcher on the platform and proceeding in a straight line, with some minor deflections towards a point which intersects the boundary of Commonwealth offshore waters at the 3 nautical mile limit at or about Easting 543223 m and Northing 5770767 m. Coordinates are based on Geodetic Datum of Australia (GDA94).

II. ROUTE OF WEST BARRACOUTA FLEXIBLE PIPELINE

The flexible pipeline route is described in the table below, and displayed on the map below, within a 20 m corridor (±10 m centred on the pipeline design route), subject to installation tolerances, commencing at the tie-in flange downstream of the 12 inch ball valve of the West Barracouta Flowline End Manifold and terminating at the hot tap location on the steel pipeline, located within the 500 m petroleum safety zone of the Barracouta platform. Coordinates are based on Geodetic Datum of Australia (GDA94).
