EXPLANATORY STATEMENT

 

 

 

 

 

 

1. Authority for making the instrument.  University House Statute, s.10.

 

 

2. Purpose and operation of the instrument.  The Rules prescribe arrangements relating to the governance and membership of the House, and eligibility for membership and access by non-members.

 

 

3. Documents incorporated in the instrument by reference.  None.

 

 

4. Consultation process.  The Rules amend the previous Rules to include prescribed methods of elections of certain members of the Board of Fellows.  The amendments were made on the recommendation of the Master of the House, and with the support of the Board of Fellows.  The new Rules were considered and approved by the Council of the University.
