ULUṞU – KATA TJUṮA NATIONAL PARK
PROHIBITION OF ENTRY TO PART OF THE PARK
(ULUṞU ROCK OUTCROP)
I, Dennis Karl Dyason, Assistant Secretary, Parks Australia Division, Department of the Environment and Energy, delegate of the power of the Director of National Parks under subsection 515(3) of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 and acting pursuant to subregulation 12.23(3) of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Regulations 2000, having taken into account and being satisfied that access to that part of the Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park (the Park), being the ‘Uluṟu Rock Outcrop’ (as described in the Schedule) would be inconsistent with a management plan in operation for the Park and might endanger public safety, HEREBY PROHIBIT entry to the Uluṟu Rock Outcrop, by all persons at all times EFFECTIVE from 4pm on 25 October 2019.
AND I HEREBY REPEAL the previous prohibition made on 17 October 2019 in respect of the Uluṟu Rock Outcrop EFFECTIVE from 4pm on 25 October 2019.
