REGULATIONS UNDER THE TREATY OF PEACE ACT 1919.
I, THE GOVERNOR‑GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Treaty of Peace Act 1919, to come into operation forthwith.

Amendment of Treaty of Peace Regulations.
(Statutory Rules 1920, No. 25, as amended to this date.)
After regulation thirty‑six of the Treaty of Peace Regulations the following regulation is inserted:—
“36a. (1) Notwithstanding anything contained in these Regulations, property rights or interests re‑vested in any person in pursuance of the last preceding regulation shall be held subject to the condition that the person in whom the property is re‑vested—
(a) shall not be guilty of any act of disloyalty to the Administration of the Territory or to the Commonwealth Government; and
(b) shall not transfer or attempt to transfer such property rights or interests or any portion thereof except with the consent, in writing, of the Administrator.
(2) If the Minister is satisfied that any person in whom property rights or interests have been re‑vested—
(a) has been guilty of any act of disloyalty to the Administration of the Territory or to the Commonwealth Government; or
(b) has transferred or attempted to transfer such property rights or interests or any portion thereof without the consent, in writing, of the Administrator,
he may cause a notification to that effect to be published in the New Guinea Gazette, and thereupon such property rights or interests shall become re‑vested in the Custodian.
(3) Any document purporting to transfer property rights or interests in contravention of this regulation shall be void and of no effect.”
