STATUTORY RULES NO. 66 OF 1982
Issued by the Authority of the Minister for Trade and Resources.
TRADE COMMISSIONERS REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT)
Regulation 6 - | Travelling Allowance in Australia |
Regulation 7 - | Travelling Allowance outside Australia |
Regulation 32 - | Local Allowance, Supplementary Local Allowance, Special Local Allowance and Child Allowance. |
Section 12 of the Trade Commissioners Act 1933 (the Act) provides that the Governor-General may make regulations, not inconsistent with the Act, prescribing all matters which by the Act are required or permitted to be prescribed, or which are necessary or convenient to be prescribed, for giving effect to the Act.
The Prime Minister has directed that the Public Service Board will be the general co-ordinating authority for conditions of service for the Trade Commissioner staff.
With the agreement of the Board the designations of Assistant Trade Commissioner Grades 1, 2 and 3 have been changed to Trade Commissioner Grade D, Assistant Trade Commissioner Grade 1 and Assistant Trade Commissioner Grade 2 respectively. Consequently it is necessary to amend the designations appearing in the Trade Commissioners Regulations so that their conditions of service and allowances remain unchanged.
The Attorney-General’s Department has prepared the attached draft Statutory Rules amending:
• | Regulation 6 - | Travelling Allowance in Australia |
• | Regulation 7 - | Travelling Allowance outside Australia |
• | Regulation 32 - | Local Allowance, Supplementary Local Allowance, Special Local Allowance and Child Allowance. |
by omitting Assistant Trade Commissioner Grades 1, 2 and 3 and inserting Trade Commissioner Grade D, Assistant Trade Commissioner Grade 1 and Assistant Trade Commissioner Grade 2 where appropriate.
