EXPLANATORY STATEMENT
1. Authority for making the instrument. The Australian National University Endowment for Excellence Statute 2012, section 18.
2. Purpose and operation of the instrument. The Rules prescribe arrangements in relation to the Board of Governors and Governors of the Board, categories of membership of the Endowment for Excellence, and for Foundations and Directors of Foundations.
3. Documents incorporated in the instrument by reference. None.
4. Consultation process. The Council of the University considered and approved the Statute on 23 March 2012.
