STATUTORY RULES.

1955. No. 73.

 

REGULATIONS UNDER THE POST AND TELEGRAPH ACT 1901-1950.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Post and Telegraph Act 1901-1950.

Amendments of the Telephone Regulations.†

Commencement.

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on the twenty-ninth day of October, 1955.

2. Regulation 3 of the Telephone Regulations is repealed and the following regulation inserted in its stead:—

Parts.

“3. These Regulations are divided into Parts, as follows:—

Part I.—Preliminary (Regulations 1-17a).

Part II.—Telephone Exchanges (Regulations 18-25).

Part III.—Telephone Exchange Services.

Division 1.—Services wholly provided by the Department (Regulations 26-90).

Division 2.—Services not wholly provided by the Department (Regulations 91-110).

Part IV.—Private Branch Exchanges (Regulations 111-115).

Part V.—Public Telephones (Regulations 116-129).

Part VI.—Telephone Trunk Lines (Regulations 130-133).

Part VII.—Telephone Trunk Line Service (Regulations 134-144a).

Part VIII.—Private Lines.

Division 1.—Lines wholly provided by the Department (Regulations 145-154).

Division 2.—Lines not wholly provided by the Department (Regulations 154a-166).

Part IX.—Miscellaneous Services (Regulations 167-171).”.

Unit fee.

3. Regulation 119 of the Telephone Regulations is amended by omitting the word, figure and letter “uniformly 2d.” and inserting in their stead the word “Threepence”.
