An Act to authorize the expending of moneys paid into the Trust Fund Telegraphs and Telephones Special Works Account.

BE it enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows :—
Short title.
1. This Act may be cited as the Telegraphs and Telephones Special Works Account Act 1911.
Apportionment of moneys to be expended.
2. The amount of Six hundred thousand pounds appropriated under Division 6a (Special Works) of the Schedule to Act No. 5 of 1911 and payable into Trust Fund Telegraphs and Telephones Special Works Account shall, subject to section three of this Act, be expended in the manner set forth in the Schedule to this Act.
Sum insufficient for purposes of item.
3. Where any moneys authorized by this Act to be expended for the purposes of any item in the Schedule are insufficient for the purposes of the item or where no moneys are specified for the purposes of any item in the Schedule, the Governor-General may, by order, direct that there shall be applied for the purposes of the item a sum out of any surplus arising from moneys authorized by this Act to be expended for the purposes of any other item in the Schedule.
Copy of order to be laid before Parliament.
4. A copy of every order by which an altered application of moneys may be made shall be laid before both Houses of the Parliament within seven days after the making thereof, if Parliament is then sitting, and if not then within seven days after the next meeting of Parliament.
