1 Name of Technical Standard

 (1) This Technical Standard is the Telecommunications Technical Standard (Analogue interworking and noninterference requirements for Customer Equipment for connection to the Public Switched Telephone Network — AS/ACIF S002) Amendment 2004 (No. 2).

 (2) This Technical Standard may also be cited as AS/ACIF S002-2001 (Amdt 2).

2 Commencement

  This Technical Standard commences on the date of its notification in the Gazette.

3 Amendment of Telecommunications Technical Standard (Analogue interworking and non-interference requirements for Customer Equipment for connection to the Public Switched Telephone Network AS/ACIF S002) 2001

  Schedule 1 amends the Telecommunications Technical Standard (Analogue interworking and non-interference requirements for Customer Equipment for connection to the Public Switched Telephone Network AS/ACIF S002) 2001, as amended by AS/ACIF S002-2001 (Amdt 1).

AS/ACIF S002-2001 (Amdt No. 2/2004) means the amendment of the Australian Communications Industry Forum/Australian Standard: Analogue interworking and non-interference Requirements for Customer Equipment for connection to the Public Switched Telephone Network AS/ACIF S002:2001, as published by the Australian Communications Industry Forum and Standards Australia International Limited in July 2004.

7 Standards with which customer equipment must comply

  Customer equipment to which this Technical Standard applies must comply with the AS/ACIF Standard, as amended by:

 (a) AS/ACIF S002-2001 (Amdt No. 1/2002); and

 (b) AS/ACIF S002-2001 (Amdt No. 2/2004).
