1 Name of Notice

  This Notice is the Telecommunications Labelling (Customer Equipment and Customer Cabling) Amendment Notice 2001 (No. 3).

2 Commencement

  This Notice commences as follows:

 (a) on gazettal — sections 1 to 3 and Schedule 1;

 (b) on 1 January 2002 — Schedule 2.

3 Amendment of Telecommunications Labelling (Customer Equipment and Customer Cabling) Notice 2001

  Schedules 1 and 2 amend the Telecommunications Labelling (Customer Equipment and Customer Cabling) Notice 2001.

3.9 Application of standard AS/ACIF S043-2001 to items in categories B29 and C33 of Part 2 of Schedule 1

  For this Part, an item in category B29 or C33 of Part 2 of Schedule 1 that is required to comply with Part 2 of standard AS/ACIF S043-2001 is taken to comply with Part 2 of that standard if:

 (a) none of the equipment classes listed in Part 2 of that standard apply to the item; and

 (b) the item complies with clause 5.2.3.3 of standard ACA TS006-1997, as in force immediately before that standard was revoked.

Note   Despite the revocation of standard ACA TS006-1997, the requirements of clause 5.2.3.3 of that standard are still relevant for the purposes of this Notice.
