Tax Agent Services (Tax Practitioners Board Acting Member) Appointment (No. 1) 2025

I, Stephen Jones, Assistant Treasurer and Minister for Financial Services, under subsection 60-67(3) of the Tax Agent Services Act 2009 (the Act) and subsection 33A(1) of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901:

1.              appoint Debra Anderson as an acting member of the Tax Practitioners Board, on a part-time basis, for the period beginning on 18 February 2025 until the earlier of:
   1.      17 May 2025; or
   2.    the next appointment of a substantive member, under subsection 60-25(1) of the Act, takes effect; and
2.              determine that, during the period of appointment referred to in paragraph (a), the daily fee payable to the appointee is $1,229 and the allowances payable to the appointee are those that would apply to a member of the Tax Practitioners Board.
