SURVEYS REGULATIONS 1985

Regulations No. 7 of 1985

I, John Alexander Matthew, Administrator of Norfolk Island, acting in accordance with the advice of the Executive Council of Norfolk Island, hereby make the following Regulations under the Surveys Act 1937.

Short title

 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Surveys Regulations 1985.

Interpretation

 2. (1) In these Regulations, “the Act” means the Surveys Act 1937.

  (2) For the purposes of these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears, words, expressions and provisions contained in these Regulations have the same interpretation, application and effect as they have under the Act.

Prescribed purpose

 3. For the purposes of paragraph (c) of the definition of “authorised survey” in section 3 of the Act, the construction by the Administration of a reticulated water and sewerage scheme is a prescribed purpose.
