SUPPLY (No. 6) 1917–18.

No. 3 of 1918.

An Act to grant and apply a sum out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund for the service of the year ending the thirtieth day of June One thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

[Assented to 19th April, 1918.]

Preamble.

BE it enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, for the purpose of appropriating the grant originated in the House of Representatives as follows:—

Short title.

1. This Act may be cited as the Supply Act (No. 6) 1917–18.

Issue and application of £5,068,484.

2.—(1.) There shall and may be issued and applied for or towards making good the supply hereby granted to His Majesty for the service of the year ending the thirtieth day of June One thousand nine hundred and eighteen the sum of Five million sixty-eight thousand four hundred and eighty-four pounds out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund.

(2.) The Supply Acts mentioned in the First Schedule to this Act are hereby amended so that the sums granted by the said Acts for the service of the year ending the thirtieth day of June One thousand nine hundred and eighteen and the sum granted by this section of this Act, amounting, as appears in the Second Schedule to this Act, in the aggregate to the sum of Seventeen million one hundred and fifty-seven thousand five hundred and twenty-two pounds, are issuable and applicable by the Treasurer, and shall be deemed to have been issuable and applicable by

the Treasurer as from the date of the passing of the Act No. 9 of 1917, for the purposes and services expressed in the Second Schedule to this Act, in lieu of the purposes and services expressed in the Schedules to the Acts mentioned in the First Schedule to this Act.

(3.) The sum issuable and applicable under this section of this Act shall be available to satisfy the warrants under the hand of the Governor-General in respect of any purposes and services set forth in the Second Schedule to this Act.

(4.) No moneys shall be expended under the authority of this section of this Act after the thirtieth day of June One thousand nine hundred and eighteen.
