SUPPLY (No. 6) 1916–17 AND (No. 1) 1917–18.

No. 9 of 1917.

An Act to grant and apply sums out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund for the service of the years ending the thirtieth day of June One thousand nine hundred and seventeen and the thirtieth day of June One thousand nine hundred and eighteen respectively.

Preamble.

BE it enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, for the purpose of appropriating the grant originated in the House of Representatives as follows:—

Short title.

1. This Act may be cited as the Supply Act (No. 6) 1916–17 and (No. 1) 1917–18.

Issue and application of £181 for 1916–17.

2.—(1.) There shall and may be issued and applied for or towards making good the supply hereby granted to His Majesty for the service of the year ending the thirtieth day of June One thousand nine hundred and seventeen the sum of One hundred and eighty-one pounds out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund.

(2.) The Supply Acts mentioned in the First Schedule to this Act are hereby amended so that the sums granted by the said Acts and the sum granted by this section of this Act, amounting, as appears in the Second Schedule to this Act, in the aggregate to the sum of Fourteen million nine hundred and eighty-one thousand three hundred and forty pounds, are issuable and applicable by the Treasurer, and shall be deemed to have been issuable and applicable

by the Treasurer as from the date of the passing of the Act No. 18 of 1916, for the purposes and services expressed in the Second Schedule to this Act, in lieu of the purposes and services expressed in the Schedules to the Acts mentioned in the First Schedule to this Act.

(3.) The sum issuable and applicable under this section shall be available to satisfy the warrants under the hand of the Governor-General in respect of any purposes and services set forth in the Second Schedule to this Act.

(4.) No moneys shall be expended under the authority of this section of this Act after the thirtieth day of June One thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

Issue and application of £750,000 for 1917–18.

3.—(1.) There shall and may be issued and applied for or towards making good the supply hereby granted to His Majesty for the service of the year ending the thirtieth day of June One thousand nine hundred and eighteen the sum of Seven hundred and fifty thousand pounds out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund.

(2.) The sum issuable and applicable under this section shall be available to satisfy the warrants under the hand of the Governor-General in respect of any purposes and services set forth in the Third Schedule to this Act.

(3.) No moneys shall be expended under the authority of this section of this Act after the thirtieth day of June One thousand nine hundred and eighteen.
