States Grants (Advanced Education)

An Act relating to the Grant of Financial Assistance to the States in connexion with Advanced Education.
[Assented to 9 December 1971]
BE it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:—
Short title and citation.
1.—(1.) This Act may be cited as the States Grants (Advanced Education) Act 1971.
(2.) The States Grants (Advanced Education) Act 1969–1970 is in this. Act referred to as the Principal Act.
(3.) The Principal Act, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the States Grants (Advanced Education) Act 1969–1971.
Commencement.
2. This Act shall be deemed to have come into operation on the twelfth day of November, One thousand nine hundred and seventy.
First Schedule.
3. The First Schedule to the Principal Act is repealed and the Schedule set out in the First Schedule to this Act inserted in its stead.
Second Schedule.
4. The Second Schedule to the Principal Act is amended as set out in the Second Schedule to this Act.
Changes in names of colleges of advanced education.
5. A place of education or a body that, for the purposes of the Principal Act, was referred to by a name specified in the first column of the Third Schedule to this Act shall, for the purposes of the Principal Act as amended by this Act, be deemed to be the college of advanced education referred to in the second column of that Schedule opposite to that name.
