1 Name of Determination
This Determination is the Social Security (Administration) (Trial - Declinable Transactions) Determination 2016.
2 Commencement
This Determination commences on the day after registration on the Federal Register of Legislation.
3 Cessation
This Determination ceases on 30 June 2018.
4 Definitions
In this Determination:
Act means the Social Security (Administration) Act 1999.
5 Declining of a transaction by a financial institution
For the purposes of subsection 124PQ(2) of the Act, the kinds of businesses specified in Schedule 1, Schedule 2, Schedule 3, Schedule 4, Schedule 5 or Schedule 6 to this Determination are kinds of businesses in relation to which transactions involving money in a welfare restricted bank account may be declined by a financial institution.
