SEAMEN’S WAR PENSIONS AND ALLOWANCES.

An Act to amend the Seamen’s War Pensions and Allowances Act 1940–1958.
[Assented to 30th September, 1959.]
BE it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:—
Short title and citation.
1.—(1.) This Act may be cited as the Seamen’s War Pensions and Allowances Act 1959.
(2.) The Seamen’s War Pensions and Allowances Act 1940–1958, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Seamen’s War Pensions and Allowances Act 1940–1959.
Commencement.
2. This Act shall come into operation on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.
First Schedule.
3. The First Schedule to the Seamen’s War Pensions and Allowances Act 1940–1958 is repealed and the following Schedule inserted in its stead:—

Application of amendment.
4. The amendment effected by this Act applies in relation to instalments of pensions falling due on the first pension pay day after the date of commencement of this Act and to all subsequent instalments.
