SCIENCE AND INDUSTRY RESEARCH (ADVISORY COUNCIL AND STATE COMMITTEES)

REGULATIONS (REPEAL)

STATUTORY RULES 1988 NO. 78

for Science, Customs and Small Business.

On 5 December 1986 the Science and Industry Research Amendment Act 1986 came into effect. This Act, inter alia, repealed Part VII of the Science and Industry Research Act 1949. Part VII had provided for the establishment of an Advisory Council and State Committees for the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation.

The Science and Industry Research (Advisory Council and State Committees) Regulations were made on 22 December 1978. These regulations prescribe the quorum for the Advisory Council and State Committees, the period of appointment of members of State Committees, and procedures for the meetings of the State Committees.

With the repeal of Part VII, the principal regulations are now spent. The attached regulation provides formally for their repeal.
