1923. No. 107.
REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903-1918.
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Defence Act 1903-1918, to come into operation forthwith.

Regulations for the Royal Military College of Australia, 1921.
Amendment.
Paragraph (ii) of Appendix IV. of the regulations for the Royal Military College of Australia is cancelled and the following substituted therefore:—
“(ii). Syllabus for Candidates Under 19 Years of Age.
1. To qualify a candidate must obtain a pass or higher certificate in the following subjects:—
(a) English.
(b) Mathematics, including geometry and algebra.
(c) A modern language, either French, Japanese or German.
(d) Two other subjects.
2. The above subjects must be passed at the Public Examinations for the “Leaving” or “Senior” and “Intermediate” or “Junior” certificates at any time prior to entering the College. The order of merit will be decided by the total marks gained in (a), (b), (c) and (d) passed at any one examination at the “Intermediate” or “Leaving” provided always that subjects taken at the “Leaving” and “Senior” shall rank before those taken at the “Intermediate” or “Junior” examinations.
3. Subjects (d) will include any two of the following:—

4. The Commandant, Royal Military College may at his discretion recommend that a candidate who has passed in five subjects and has failed in a sixth be accepted as having qualified provided that the sum of his marks in the six subjects is equal to the aggregate of the marks required for a pass in each of those subjects.
