Paragraph 83(2)(b)

 

REVOCATION OF NOMINATED CARRIER DECLARATION – Telstra Corporation Limited (NCD 141)

I, Dominic Byrne, delegate of the Australian Communications and Media Authority (‘the ACMA’), acting under paragraph 83(2)(b) of the Telecommunications Act 1997 and being satisfied that:

(a)  Telstra Corporation Limited (ACN 051 775 556) was granted a nominated carrier declaration under subsection 81(1) of the Telecommunications Act 1997 on 17 December 2015 in relation to network units owned by Roy Hill Holdings Pty Ltd (ACN 123 721 077) (the ‘Nominated Carrier Declaration’); and

(b)  Telstra Corporation Limited (ACN 051 775 556) has provided the ACMA with a written notice stating that it does not accept responsibility for the network units for the purposes of the Telecommunications Act 1997;

revoke the Nominated Carrier Declaration under paragraph 83(2)(b) of the Telecommunications Act 1997.
