Paragraph 83(2)(b)

 

REVOCATION OF NOMINATED CARRIER DECLARATION – TELSTRA CORPORATION LIMITED

 

I, Dominic Byrne, delegate of the Australian Communications and Media Authority, acting under paragraph 83(2)(b) of the Telecommunications Act 1997 and being satisfied that:

(a)    the nominated carrier Telstra Corporation Limited (ACN 051 775 556) has provided the ACMA with a written notice stating that it does not accept responsibility for the network units for the purposes of the Telecommunications Act 1997);

revoke the nominated carrier declaration made by the ACMA on 6 January 1999 in relation to the Ku-band transponders 2 and 10 on the PAS-2 satellite owned by PanAmSat International Systems Inc and located at 191 degrees WL/169 degrees EL in the geostationary satellite arc.
