Paragraph 83(2)(b)

 

REVOCATION OF NOMINATED CARRIER DECLARATION

 

I, Dominic Byrne, delegate of the Australian Communications and Media Authority, acting under paragraph 83(2)(b) of the Telecommunications Act 1997 and being satisfied that:

(a)    the nominated carrier Telstra Corporation Limited (ACN 051 775 556) has provided the ACMA with a written notice stating that it does not accept responsibility for the network units for the purposes of the Telecommunications Act 1997);

revoke the nominated carrier declaration made by the ACMA on 12 November 2004 in relation to designated radiocommunication facilities being transponders:

(a) Transponder K5V;

(b) Transponder K6V;

(c) Transponder K7V; and

(d) Transponder K8V;

on the AsiaSat 3S Satellite owned by Asia Satellite Telecommunications Co.Ltd

and:

(e) Transponder KlV;

(f) Transponder K2V;

(g) Transponder K3V;

(h) Transponder K4V;

(i) Transponder K5V;

0) Transponder K6V;

(k) Transponder K7V; and

(1) Transponder K8V;

on the AsiaSat 4 Satellite owned by Asia Satellite Telecommunications Co.Ltd.
